Archer: Animated TV show, Definition of Funny
Archer is FX Network’s latest & greatest 22 minute animated comedy GOLD. If you’re not already over this like herpes on a 20 dollar hooker (what?) then you should be, need to be, have to be.
Set at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), a spy agency where espionage and global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other.
Created by Adam Reed of Sealab 2021 & Frisky Dingo fame (thank you wikipedia) and with the vocal talents of H. Jon Benjamin as suave master spy “Sterling Archer”, Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, “Malory” Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, “Agent Lana Kane”; George Coe as his aging-but-loyal butler, “Woodhouse”; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest, “Cyril Figgis”; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary, “Cheryl.” This show is a must for your weekly viewing and has just been picked up for a second season so there is plenty of archer goodness coming at you. This is one of the funniest shows out there. This show makes me laugh until my eyes water and it feels like I’ve been stabbed in my side!
I couldn’t agree with you more. Archer is absolutely brilliant comedy. It’s up there with my favorite comedies of all time and they haven’t even really started the third season yet. I feel bad for DirecTV customers right now since they’re about to lose FX just before the new season starts. Most of my favorite shows are on FX. Luckily for me, DISH has a long term contract with Fox so I don’t have to worry about that but still, I can see a lot of people getting upset over this.
