Trek Nation: Documentary

I have seen the Star Trek films as a kid and the new one is pretty flashy, shiny and entertaining but I am far from dubbed as a Trekkie. Trek Nation isn’t a film about Star Trek, I mean it is a film about Star Trek but not what you would expect going by previous Star Trek documentary’s like Trekkie’s. While Trekkie’s looked at the devoted fans of the series and movies, Trek Nation through the perspective of Rod Roddenberry son of the Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, examines the positive impact that Star Trek may have had on people’s lives, how he grew up surrounded by this phenomena and looks at the events happening in the world when the films and TV shows were created.
