Stand Up Spotlight – Gilson Lubin

The OMC Stand-Up Spotlight is back once again with Gilson Lubin. Born on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, Lubin and his family emigrated to Canada when he was 10 years old. While studying Architecture Design at Humber College, he overheard a couple of students talking about stand-up comedy and was quickly drawn to the famous Yuk Yuk’s comedy club. “I went down to the club and I haven’t stopped since,” he said. Gilson Lubin is one of the funniest comics I have seen in years. He is proof that something good does come from Canada…even if it came from the Caribbean first.
