The OMC 4 Track: The Killers

Alright guys Tom here bringing you a more mainstream OMC 4 Track today.

The Killers, an American rock band from the infamous Las Vegas, formed in 2002, released their debut album in 2004 and blew audiences away with their unique alternative sound influenced by the 1980s. Their formation was an interesting one. After lead singer Brendan Flowers was “abandon” by his previous band, he responded to an ad placed in a Las Vegas Newspaper. In the ensuing months they went through several drummers and a few bassists, finally settling on Ronnie Vanucci Jr on Drums and Mark Stoermer on bass, with David Keuning on lead guitar.

They began their career playing Vegas clubs, sending demo tapes to all the major record labesl – which rejected them, until a British partner for Warner Bros picked them up and signed them in the UK, where they exploded. After their UK success, they conquered the US again with their Debut Album Hot Fuss and the rest is history.

To the Man Card Community, we usually try to bring you fresh new and original content. Unfortunately, that’s hard and very tiring. Think of it this way though, if you have never heard of the Killers, Tom just freed you from the rock you have been stuck under.
